What is Meditative Drawing?
We've all experienced moments when we’re so absorbed in an activity that we lose our sense of time, and when we're done, we feel a sense of peace and joy. This happens because certain activities ease the mind into layers beyond thought — Meditative Drawing is one of them.
When drawing…draw.
Meditative Drawing, with its unique combination of physical and mental activity, can be incredibly helpful for busy, overactive minds to settle and focus.
What are the benefits of the practice?
The simple act of drawing has a profound impact on us.
When we draw, letting go of any expectations, we create the perfect conditions for spontaneous thought. During these moments, while our thinking mind is absorbed in the activity, our creative mind can venture into new territory and access unexpected flashes of insight.
Reconnect with your creative self.
Expand your mindful awareness.
Improve your attention and ability to focus.
Relax your mind and calm your body.
Regain a sense of playful enjoyment.
“Taking Marisa's class for the past year has been a life-altering experience. Before I took her class, I never thought of myself as creative. Now I know I AM! I'm truly grateful for this wonderful resource."—

FAQs
-
The workshop consists of a 90 minutes class. Each workshop's designed for you to learn the basics of Meditative Drawing and have time to experience the practice using various exercises.
-
Absolutely. Meditative Drawing places the attention on the process and not the end result. This technique will allow you to experience the joy of drawing regardless of your skill level. And who knows, you may discover that you CAN draw.
-
Yes! If you are not a meditator, I will encourage you to try Meditative Drawing. The state of mind you’ll enter when you are deeply absorbed in Meditative Drawing is qualitative, not different than the state we reach during meditation. And we could all use more mindfulness and less anxiety regardless of our “type.”
-
The cost for each class is $40. You will also need a few simple materials, some paper or a sketchbook, and a pen or marker.
-
The workshop's fee will grant you access to the live online 90 minutes class. A PDF with the exercises from the live class for you to enjoy later. And a private link to download all Meditative Drawing templates from The Conscious Creativity Lab.

“With these workshops, my mind quietens down straight away. Even at times when I find myself surrounded by chaos, I just start drawing and everything goes quiet. Thank you!”
